HOLY SEASON OF LENT
Today, we entered the Holy Season of Lent, with the celebration of Ash Wednesday, which reminds us of our nothingness before God. This is a season of God’s merciful love, grace, and blessings. A time for repentance, being a better version of ourselves, and being closer to God, both in our words and actions, says the Archbishop, Most Rev. Valerian Okeke. He reminded us that Lent is a gift from God, a gift to help us grow in faith, to purify ourselves to be better and serve God and our neighbours better. He prays for all of us, for our various intentions, and that this Holy season be beneficial to all of us.

2023 Pastoral Letter
“God offered a permanent solution to the mystery of suffering when he sent his beloved son to rescue humanity through his own suffering. Thus, Jesus has become an answer to the problem of human suffering. He took up the brutal suffering of the cross, endured it in his human nature but used his divine nature to turn all suffering into the path of glory and salvation.”
Archbishop Valerian Okeke “The Hour of Glory: Suffering in the Life of a Christian” Pastoral Letter 2023.”
